Little Bear Fire Support

Another part of our story is that we do Support for Natural Disasters.  Currently outside Ruidoso, NM is a fire that is doing some really awful things to the area.  We have one of our pieces of equipment that has been called in to support the fire fighters.  There have been hundreds of pictures taken of this fire that are amazingly beautiful if you dont think about the awfulness.  I will choose today to stick to the In Camp photos I took last night while we were up there supporting our support crew. 

This is our Handwashing Unit.  There are 4 sinks on each side of the unit with mirrors and soap despensers and papertowels.  There is Hot and Cold running water for our fire fighters and support crews to be able to wash hands and face and shave or brush teeth, etc.

We have a 500 gallon tank inside to go through the sinks.

The crews work 2 shifts, Day and Night round the clock. We truly enjoy being able to support those in the thick of things to be able to come in and relax a little bit before they head out again. Just to have clean hands and face sometimes can make all the difference.

                                                            
 This is a crew on its way to dinner after washing up.  This crew spent the day on the front line of the fire with shovels and such.

We pray for all the families who have lost so much due to this fire.  We also continue to pray for all the crews on the front lines as well as support personnel.
